Learning Express Library Databases are an outstanding resource for academic and career development. Students can review their math, reading, grammar, writing, and science skills; prepare for placement tests and graduate school entrance exams; practice for the TEAS and many occupational exams and certifications; learn how to write resumes and cover letters and prepare for interviews; and more.

There are millions of full-text articles (and other forms of media) in our EBSCO, Gale, and ProQuest databases. The best way to begin your search is to enter one or two keywords on your topic. Each database is different, but there will be ways to limit and focus your results so that you find the most relevant and useful articles available.
Our EBSCO Databases are an excellent place to start your search for magazine and journal articles.
Our Gale Databases are another great place to find magazine and journal articles.
Search hundreds of U.S. newspapers, newswires, and news sites with Proquest Databases . Unique to Proquest, is a database dedicated specifically to Coronavirus research.Reference books and online resources like, Britannica Academic are great for improving your background knowledge on almost any topic. These resources also provide images and videos, which you can use to liven up your papers and presentations.

Kelsey Sletten can meet with your class to show your students how to efficiently and effectively find the information they need. The duration, location, and content of each session depends on your specific needs. Here are some examples:
- A general 30-minute session. This is ideal for students working on a paper or project. Kelsey will meet your students in a computer lab and cover the Library's resources and services, including how to use our catalog and databases to find accurate, relevant information and cite sources. Students will be given time to practice using these resources on their own and ask any questions that come up.
- A 10- to 20-minute session on a specific topic or resource. This is ideal for students who have already had a general library session, or have some past experience in academic research and using professional sources of information. Kelsey will join your class online or in person and skip the general stuff, saving time. Examples:
- The best resources for students writing an argument or persuasive paper
- General information, resources, and guidance on how to create in-text citations
- Where to find trustworthy and reputable sources of information in the medical/science field
- Finding and evaluating sources in trades and technology, through the use of Trade Journals
- Paraphrasing a source vs retrieving direct quotes, and how to properly credit the author(s)
