How to Get Your Picture Taken On Campus

In-Person Photo IDs or Badges
When the Library is open for service (usually 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday - Check Library Hours Page), come into your campus library circulation desk and we can take your picture right away.
All you need is:
  • Name, Tech ID #
  • If for a medical badge, please wear scrubs and let us know what program you are in.
  • Once inside the building, speak with the person at the SCC Library Circulation Desk.
  • Incoming students must be registered for classes and have their Tech ID number to have their picture taken.
  • The first photo ID or Badge is free, and replacement ID/Badges cost $10. You will need to pay at the bookstore (tell them you are paying $10 for a replacement student ID), and bring the receipt to the library circulation desk. Tell the library staff person that you are getting a replacement ID or Badge, and they can look you up in the system to print off a new ID for you.

To find your Tech ID Number:
Go to your student eServices account and log in with your StarID and password.
On the top right side of the page, where it says StudentID, is your TechID number. Write this down and give it to the person taking your photo for the ID/Badge.

  • Pick up during library open hours times, for virtual or class groups.
  • Arrange for an instructor to receive the ID in campus mail so they can give it to you in your class. (Please arrange with instructors ahead of time).

Faculty & Staff
Faculty and staff may have an ID card made at the office provided they have their TechID number.
Employees can find their TechID number on the Employee Dashboard. Click "My Jobs" tab and then the number is on the left side of the page:

Faculty and staff bringing groups of students to the office for their pictures to be taken should contact the office to schedule a time for the group to visit the office. The library prefers smaller batches of students as each badge takes about 5-10 minutes.
